About Me
I have loved photography since I was a teenager, when I taught myself how to use a manual film camera. My background includes a degree in the history of art, which influences the way I photograph weddings. I spent my 20’s travelling the world, always with a camera in my hand. I later studied and worked as a teacher but photography remained a constant passion and I took numerous courses including film development, lighting and digital editing.
I am married to a beautiful man from Dublin. We met in my homeland, New Zealand, and have been living in Ireland ever since. We share two amazing children and a love for music and trips to the seaside.
I LOVE photographing weddings. I began in 2010 as an assistant, and in 2014 I took the plunge and started my own photography business. Every wedding is a privilege to photograph. I am inspired by people and the in-between moments at a wedding, moments full of the subtleties of life. I believe great photographs are borne out of collaboration between photographer and subject and I love this aspect of a wedding day. I work in a relaxed and natural way with couples as a documentary wedding photographer. I am always refining my photography practice and pushing myself to learn and grow with each wedding.
I am inspired by so many things including nature, art, architecture and fashion. Picasso said “Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up”. Along these lines I try to approach each wedding with fresh eyes, new ideas and excitement about what the day will bring.
